History and pop culture collide with hilarious results when our leading lady, the Statue of Liberty, gets caught by the Announcer with a People Magazine inside her book. All hell breaks loose when he blows up her spring-loaded book and pages of American history and People magazine rain over the stage and audience. The ensuing sketches and songs feature Lady Gaga ravaging the Star Spangled Banner; Woody Allen pacing neurotically over the Boston Tea Party; and De Niro, Pesci and Pacino as “the gang that couldn’t shoot straight” during Prohibition. Throughout, we see Liberty intermittently piecing together the history book until she climbs back on her pedestal and sings the anthemic finale
